WASHINGTON

In an interview conducted on the day of his campaign rally in Port Huron, Michigan, on October 25 (local time), U.S. President Donald Trump addressed the surveillance of Iranian nuclear facilities and the issue of Iran obtaining nuclear weapons. President Trump said, "Space Force can see everything," and added, "We have every site under watch." Regarding Iran acquiring nuclear weapons, he said, "Let them have a nuclear weapon — because they would use it." Both remarks appear in videos posted on X by the official White House rapid response account, RapidResponse47, at 3:21 p.m. and 3:28 p.m. Eastern Time on the 25th (4:21 a.m. and 4:28 a.m. KST on the 26th).

## Both remarks appear in interview footage filmed in Port Huron around the start of the rally

According to the Republican event listing page, the rally took place on Sunday, October 25, at McMorran Place Arena (701 McMorran Blvd) in Port Huron, Michigan. Doors opened at 11:30 a.m., and the speech was scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The event was paid for by the Trump 47 Committee, Inc. The White House press pool schedule also listed the president's speech at McMorran Place for 3:00 p.m. on the same day. RapidResponse47 posted at 12:38 p.m. Eastern Time that the president had departed for Michigan, and at 5:27 p.m. posted video footage of the Port Huron rally with the caption "THANK YOU, MICHIGAN."

The two videos containing the remarks on Iran are from an interview setting rather than the rally stage. The bottom of the screen displays the caption "PORT HURON RALLY" along with text indicating a one-on-one interview, with the on-screen clock showing times between 2:59 p.m. and 3:04 p.m. The interview took place in Port Huron at roughly the same time the rally was scheduled to begin. The specific location where the interview was conducted (such as whether it was inside the venue) cannot be determined from the video alone.

## President Trump answered a question on underground uranium by citing Space Force surveillance capabilities

The interviewer asked whether there were concerns that Iran might resume its activities given the uranium underground. President Trump first responded, "No, no, I'm not, because it's thousands of tons of rock on top of it." He then said, "Don't forget we have Space Force because of me, so we have Space Force and Space Force can see everything."

President Trump cited a specific example of the Space Force's observation capabilities, saying, "if you had a badge on your jacket and your first name was Mohammed, I could read that name beautifully right on your jacket... We have every site under watch." In the same response, he said, "If there's any movement at the site, we know exactly what to do. But there won't be." This response was posted by RapidResponse47 (at 3:21 p.m.) in a clip lasting approximately 60 seconds.

## President Trump said Iranian nuclear possession would cause human casualties beyond energy problems

In the second video, President Trump discussed the consequences of Iran acquiring nuclear weapons, stating: "You want to see problems? You want to see not only energy problems, but death problems? Let them have a nuclear weapon — because they would use it." This remark was posted by RapidResponse47 (at 3:28 p.m.) in a clip lasting approximately 46 seconds.

In the segment that followed, President Trump referenced the military operation from June of last year. According to the audio verified in the video, he said, "we blew the hell out of their nuclear capacity," followed by, "It's gone." He added, "I knew that that was going to raise the prices a little bit." In the latter part of the video, he addressed the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz: "We have a naval blockade and we have more oil coming right now out of the Strait of Hormuz than it was before the war started."

## Just before departing on the same day, he stated there are two sets of intelligence reports on Iran

Earlier at 12:35 p.m. Eastern Time on the 25th (1:35 a.m. KST on the 26th), RapidResponse47 posted another video concerning Iran, showing President Trump answering questions from reporters at the foot of an aircraft staircase. Asked whether the declassified intelligence reports regarding Iran differed significantly from what he had previously read, President Trump replied, "There are two very different sets of intelligence reports. I have them both, but they're very different."

He continued, "we have very advanced sets of intelligence on Iran. And we're doing very well with Iran, as you know." He also said, "Some has been declassified and some hasn't." The exact airport and time at which this video was filmed were not specified in the post.

## The U.S. Space Force is a military branch established under legislation signed by President Trump on December 20, 2019

President Trump's remark that "we have Space Force because of me" aligns with the official record. In a press release, the U.S. Department of Defense announced that on December 20, 2019, President Trump signed the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, creating the U.S. Space Force as the first new branch of the armed services since 1947\. At the ceremony, President Trump said, "Space is the world's newest warfighting domain." The Space Force initially launched with approximately 16,000 military and civilian personnel assigned to Air Force Space Command. President Trump appointed General Jay Raymond as the first Chief of Space Operations, and General Raymond became a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The U.S. Space Force also participated in the June 2025 strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine stated during a Pentagon briefing on June 22, 2025, that the operation received support from U.S. Strategic Command, Transportation Command, Cyber Command, Space Command, Space Force, and European Command. Publicly available materials from the Department of Defense and the Space Force do not confirm whether the Space Force carried out the specific surveillance mission mentioned in the interview.

## Operation Midnight Hammer in June 2025 struck three facilities: Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan

According to the transcript of a June 22, 2025, briefing by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine released by the U.S. Department of War (formerly the Department of Defense), U.S. Central Command conducted precision strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities—Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan—on the night of June 21 (Eastern Time). Gen. Caine briefed that seven B-2 Spirit bombers flew approximately 18 hours to reach the target area, with the lead B-2 dropping two GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) bombs on Fordow around 6:40 p.m. Eastern Time. A total of 14 MOPs were dropped on two nuclear target areas, and all three facilities were struck between 6:40 p.m. and 7:05 p.m. Prior to this, around 5:00 p.m., a U.S. submarine operating in the CENTCOM area of responsibility launched more than 24 Tomahawk cruise missiles targeting surface infrastructure targets in Esfahan. Approximately 75 precision-guided munitions were deployed, and more than 125 U.S. aircraft participated.

During the same briefing, Secretary of Defense Hegseth said, "We devastated the Iranian nuclear program." Gen. Caine stated, "initial battle damage assessments indicate that all three sites sustained extremely severe damage and destruction," adding that "Final battle damage will take some time."

## The IAEA estimated Iran's enriched uranium stockpile at 9,874.9 kg as of June 13, 2025

A report on the implementation of safeguards in Iran submitted by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to the Board of Governors on February 27, 2026 (GOV/2026/8), stated that strikes from military operations initiated by Israel hit several Iranian nuclear facilities between June 13 and June 24, 2025, and that the United States struck three nuclear facilities on June 22\. According to the report, the IAEA suspended verification activities in Iran once the attacks began and decided to withdraw all inspectors by the end of June for safety reasons. The report estimated Iran's total enriched uranium stockpile at 9,874.9 kg as of June 13, 2025\. This included 440.9 kg of uranium enriched up to 60% and 184.1 kg of uranium enriched up to 20%.

The report noted that because the IAEA had been denied access for more than eight months, it was unable to verify the declared stockpiles of highly enriched and low-enriched uranium. It also noted that while commercial satellite imagery showed activity at some facilities, including Natanz and Fordow, the lack of access meant the agency could not verify the nature and purpose of such activities. The report also stated that access had never been granted to a fourth enrichment facility declared by Iran in June 2025\. Because this report reflects the status as of February 2026, subsequent IAEA materials are not incorporated into this article.

## Secretary of State Rubio said the U.S. will not support any deal that creates a pathway to an Iranian nuclear weapon

The Department of State made public the U.S. position on the Iranian nuclear issue twice in October. During a joint press conference in Athens, Greece, on October 7, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, "Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon, simple, period, and end of story." On the same day, regarding the Strait of Hormuz, he stated, "The Straits of Hormuz are open."

In Mumbai, India, on October 21, when asked about a new proposal by Qatar and Pakistan reported in Qatari media, Secretary Rubio replied, "The United States will not support any deal that creates a pathway for Iran to ever have a nuclear weapon. As long as President Trump is in office, they will never have a nuclear weapon." Secretary Rubio said he welcomed mediation efforts, but noted that the president determines what is acceptable.

## CENTCOM released data on the maritime blockade resumed on July 14 and transit support in Hormuz

In a press release on October 10, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that during the three months following the resumption on July 14 of the blockade on all vessels entering and leaving Iranian ports, it had turned away 135 commercial vessels, disabled the propulsion of four, and destroyed 10 tankers linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). On the same day in the Gulf of Oman, U.S. fighter aircraft used precision weapons to disable the propulsion of the Panama-flagged cargo ship Ocean Molica after it ignored warnings and attempted to run the blockade; no crew members were injured.

In a press release on October 25, CENTCOM announced that Commander Brad Cooper surveyed the Strait of Hormuz aboard a CH-47 Chinook helicopter. The U.S. military helped Gulf partners export more than 1.5 billion barrels of crude oil since the summer, and more than 3,000 commercial vessels safely transited the strait over the past six months with CENTCOM support. Cooper said, "Today, primary transit routes in the Strait of Hormuz remain free and clear of Iranian sea mines thanks to incredible efforts by our people." CENTCOM stated that more than 95% of vessels transiting the strait in recent months did so safely.
